A public hearing is scheduled for 9:00 AM on September 29, 2026, in the Board of Supervisors’ Room, Sioux County Court House, 210 Central Ave SW, Orange City, Iowa.
Meetings of Board of Supervisors at which proposed revisions to County Ordinance No. 1 will be considered:
The Sioux County Board of Supervisors will consider the passage of this proposed amendment to County Ordinance No. 1 at its September 29, 2026, meeting, after the public hearing scheduled for the same time and place has been held on proposed revisions to County Ordinance No. 1, should said ordinance amendments be passed at the meeting, the proposed revisions to the ordinance will be considered at a second Board of Supervisors’ meeting to be held on October 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Should the proposed amendment to County Ordinance No. 1 be approved at this second reading, the proposed amendment to Ordinance No.1 will be considered for a third and final time, on October 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM. If approved at this reading, it will then be published and will be effective upon publication.

Property taxes can be paid in person at the Treasurer’s office, mailed and postmarked on or before September 30 or paid online at IowaTreasurers.org

For the upcoming General Election on November 3, 2026, the Auditor’s office can now accept Absentee Ballot Request forms. The voter pre-registration deadline and the last day to request a mailed absentee ballot is October 19, 2026. The last day to vote in-person at the Courthouse before Election Day is Monday, November 2, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
